
founded in 2009 by evan and oliver haslegrave, hOmE is a design
firm for interiors, furniture and lighting. to date they have designed,
developed and built nine commercial projects in new york: the
restaurants goat town, paulie gee's and manhattan inn; bars donna,
duckduck and elsa; cafe for van leeuwen ice cream; craft beer store
beer street; and boutique against nature. they also collaborated on
the bar the wayland and created an installation for the restaurant
motorino. the name hOmE is an acronym of their names and those of
their sisters, hadley and morgan.
hOmE undertakes every project in a manner that has become their
hallmark: a comprehensive, intimate and hands-on approach allotted
to every element of the environment, drawing on their extensive design-
build background and in-depth understanding of material and fabrication,
as well as the operations and demands of a wide array of commercial
enterprises. each hOmE project bears the stamp of rigorous and inventive
attention to detail, executed always with the utmost emphasis on cohesion
and creativity.
current projects: the building 1 white street in tribeca, which will include
the restaurant little one; kings county distillery, housed in the former
paymaster's building of the brooklyn navy yard; a private residence in las
vegas
